Carjacking Suspect Shot And Killed By Police In Boston Altercation: Report
The man died at the hospital soon after being struck.
BOSTON, MA — A carjacking suspect was shot and killed by police officers during an altercation Wednesday night, according to a report from WCVB NewsCenter 5.
Police responded to the scene in the vicinity of 1500 Tremont Street at approximately 9:45 p.m. after receiving a report of an auto theft.
Police soon located a stolen vehicle stopped at 10 Linwood Square with the person in the driver’s seat. Officers reportedly gave the man multiple verbal warnings before he accelerated the car in an attempt to escape the area, and in doing so collided with a police vehicle. Police responded to the action by firing their weapons, and struck the man. Not long after being transported to the hospital, the suspect succumbed to his injuries.
