Have you ever gone through boxes of old clothes and discovered a shirt, or a pair of pants, or a coat that brings back old memories? Can you remember the robe your mother wore when you were a child? Or the first time you bought a bra? Or your prom dress? Girl Scout uniform? Those old boots you loved in college?
Love, Loss and What I Wore is a play written by Nora and Delia Ephron based on the 1995 book of the same name by Ilene Beckerman. It is organized as a series of monologues and has a cast of five principal women. Directed by Jeff Pietrantoni.
The play revolves around memories we have that revolve around the clothes we remember best! Its' about purses and friendship, shoes and tragedy, coats and love, and robes and loss. It is, at heart, about being a woman. The show encapsulates these moments and uses them to explore what it means to be a mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, girlfriend or wife.
Please join us for an enjoyable evening of comedy which will benefit the youth groups, J2A and Rite 13, of Grace Church. You can also help us to fill up our clothing pantry by bringing an item or two for donation. Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door.
