Plow Truck Strikes And Kills Man In Medford

Sixty-year-old Cesar Moya, of Chelsea, died from injuries suffered when a snow plow truck hit him this afternoon in Medford, according to a statement from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Officials say the incident occurred in the parking lot of the Bread and Circus Bakehouse at 300 Middlesex St. at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9. Moya is said to have just wrapped up his shift at Whole Foods Market Bakery. He was brought to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, where he passed away.

“It bears saying that we all need to be mindful of public safety issues as we navigate sidewalks, parking lots, and roads,” said Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan, in the statement.

The incident remains under investigation by the authorities.
