In October, the Milford Mighty Mites took to the field for some halftime action during the high school’s game against Oliver Ames. Instead, the pee-wee football players began to whip and nae nae their way through halftime, with very little football being played during the scrimmage.

- Watch the Milford Mighty Mites Whip, Watch Them Nae Nae: A pee-wee scrimmage quickly turned dance party when Silento’s hit song Watch Me (Whip/ Nae Nae) was played as the teams jumped on the field during halftime of a Milford-Oliver Ames football game. The video would go on to rack up nearly 6 million hits.
- Prostitution and Assault to Murder Charges: Police made a pair of arrests in May during an undercover operation. While one person was taken into custody without incident, a second person fled the scene and allegedly drove towards an officer upon his return.
- A Deadly Valentine’s Day Shooting: A Hopkinton man lost his life on the morning of Valentine’s Day after gunshots were exchanged between two men in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Express. A second person was found by officers in his car with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
- Milford Ranked Among Nation’s Best Small Cities: Massachusetts is home to some of the best small cities in America according to a study recently conducted by WalletHub. In the study, Milford was ranked among the nation’s best small cities, checking in at No. 475 out of 1,268.
- One Killed After Leaving Vehicle on Route 495: In May, a Bristol, Conn. man lost his life after he was hit by a tractor-trailer while walking in the center lane of Route 495. The victim left his vehicle after an argument was was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester where he died from injuries sustained in the incident.
- 10-Year-Old Milford Girl Tied up During Home Invasion: In August, Milford Police investigated a home invasion that resulted in a child getting tied to a chair. The mother said the man entered the house through an unlocked door while her 10-year-old daughter was sleeping in a front room.
- Former Milford Man Found Guilty of Stalking Police Chief and Deputy Chief: In November, a former Milford man was found guilty of stalking Chief Tom O’Loughlin and Deputy Police Chief Jim Heron. Arraigned earlier this year, charges were brought against Cristino after he posted multiple videos to his Facebook page, including one of him circling the parking lot where O’Laughlin’s car sat,
- The 2015 Milford High School Lip Dub: Before they said goodbye, the Milford seniors had some fun, lip-syncing and dancing all over the school.
- Milford Man Killed in Blackstone Shooting: A Milford man was killed in November during a shooting in Blackstone. Police said they received a 911 call reported a shooting around 139 Mendon St. Neighbors say they heard several gunshot and saw what appeared to be a body outside.
- Veteran’s Condemned Home Saved: It took a lot of work, but a veteran was able save his home after it was condemned by the Board of Health. Last spring, the Board of House condemned Timpany’s home for a multitude of violations. Since then, the plumbing has been fixed, the trash outside has been removed, and the inside is no longer a danger.
