Manchester Man Indicted In Child Assault Case: Superior Court Roundup

Plus: Hudson teen accused of witness tampering; man indicted in Elm Street bomb scare case; man charged with firing gun during argument.

MANCHESTER, NH — A Hillsborough County grand jury indicted the following people recently.

Melissa Tavares, 18, of Kienia Road in Hudson, on witness tampering and conspiracy to commit witness tampering charges, both felonies. She was accused of driving to another person’s home and attempting to cause them to inform falsely and take responsibility for shooting a shotgun in Arms Park in Manchester between July 1 and July 4.

Jade Temple, 25, of Clark Road in Hillsboro, on possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of LSD-subsequent, possession of psilocybin with intent to sell, possession of meth-subsequent, possession of 3,4-MDA-subsequent, and two possession of fentanyl with intent to sell charges, all felonies. The charges stem from incidents in Hillsboro on July 4 and July 15 in Hillsboro.

Stefanie Theriault, 40, a homeless woman now located in Manchester, on a felony subsequent possession of crack cocaine charge on Nov. 10, 2023, in Manchester.

Matthew Venable, 33, of Valley Street in Manchester, on witness tampering and four second-degree assault charges, all felonies. Between Aug. 1, 2022, and Feb. 28, 2023, in Manchester, he was accused of repeatedly dragging, kicking, and punching a child. Venable also attempted to get another to inform falsely on Sept. 10 in Manchester.

Amanda L. Warren, 37, of Perimeter Road in Concord, on a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-fentanyl charge on July 30 in Manchester.

James Williams, 48, of Elm Street in Manchester, on a felony false report as to explosives. He was accused of calling New Hampshire State Police and claiming there was a bomb in the building at 1061 Elm St. in Manchester twice on July 11. Matthew Williams, 40, a homeless man now located in Manchester, on illegal possession of fentanyl-subsequent offense and illegal possession of methamphetamine-subsequent offense charges, both felonies, on Aug. 7 in Manchester.

Jonathan Winch, 52, of Amory Street in Manchester, on a felony reckless conduct charge. He was accused of firing a gun inside a home in Manchester during an argument on Aug. 7.

James Zell, 47, of Melrose Street in Manchester, on possession of meth, possession of fentanyl, and possession of cocaine charges, all felonies, in Manchester on June 10. Previously, according to the indictment, he was convicted of a drug offense in New Hampshire.
