VIDEO: Donald Trump and Mike Pence Host GOTV Rally in Manchester NH

More than 10,000 are expected at a Republican rally in the Queen City on the eve of the 2016 presidential election.

MANCHESTER, NH — Earlier today, it was President Barack Obama flying into New Hampshire to campaign for Hillary Clinton. Tonight, it’s Republican nominee Donald Trump and vice presidential nominee, Gov. Mike Pence, R-IN, rallying at the SNHU Arena (formerly Verizon) in the Queen City. Attendees began lining up to get into the event this afternoon. The rally begins at 8 p.m.

All of the campaigns have been coming to New Hampshire because the presidential race is really that close, according to all the data. While most of the national tracking polls show Clinton with a slight edge, the president isn’t elected by popular vote. The battle for the presidency is a battle to win Electoral College votes in each state. And with a race this close, winning New Hampshire, and its four Electoral College votes, has become imperative for both candidates.

And that’s why Pence was in New Hampshire on Sunday – hosting an event in Windham – and returns with the head of the ticket. Clinton was also in Manchester yesterday, hosting an event with about 3,000, and Obama was in Durham this afternoon.

While winning New Hampshire is a slight incline for the GOP – it has lost five of the six past presidential elections – Clinton’s multi-month lead of up to 15 points in some polls has collapsed, according to polling data. The RealClearPolitics.com tracking poll in New Hampshire shows Clinton with a less than 1 percent lead in the averages. All but one of the last six polls have showed Trump in the lead by as much as 5 percent or a tie between Trump and Clinton.

A poll from the UNH Survey Center/WMUR-TV last night showed Clinton with an 11-point lead – nearly double the amount Obama beat former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-MA, in 2012, a poll that many question due to an oversampling of registered and leaning Democrats.

While New Hampshire has a Voter ID law, there has been some consternation about potential vote fraud here in the Granite State. Due to a “domicile” versus “resident” provision in past state court rulings, some Republicans have come under fire for comments about the integrity of the vote in New Hampshire. However, Gardner, a registered Democrat who is considered non-partisan, has raised the issue of potential voter fraud previously, after seeing out-of-state residents being allowed to vote in New Hampshire in the 2008 election via affidavit.

In 2013, Stephen LaBonte of the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office confirmed that the department was looking at tens of thousands of affidavit voters cast ballots in the presidential elections. After the 2014 election, thousands of more affidavit ballots were analyzed for fraud.

Earlier this year, James O’Keefe’s org Project Veritas Action revealed video evidence of out-of-state Bernie Sanders voters registering to vote even though they don’t live in the state. In March, PVA held a press conference and submitted all of its video evidence to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office. At the time, LaBonte stated he was still looking at both the 2012 and 2014 elections and had not concluded his vote fraud investigation.

Brian Buonamano, the new point person for election issues at the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, offered no comment on Nov. 7, about the state of the affidavit investigations from 2012 and 2014, or the Project Veritas Action video evidence submitted to the state.
