Artist, Activist Jumps into Concord School Board Race
Plus, third candidate, a homebuilder and ZBA member, emerges in the Ward 3 open seat council race.

Only two people signed up for the major 2015 Concord municipal races today but both bring a lot of creativity, if you will, to the table, if they are elected.
Maureen Redmond-Scura became the third person to sign up to run for three three-year at-large Concord Board of Education seats.
The artist has been active in school affairs for a number of years, from leading the Concord Trust for the Enhancement of Public Education to speaking at board meetings, sitting on the Legislative Commission to Study the Concord School District charter, and also participating in the recent school superintendent search committee process. Redmond-Scura has been a juried member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen since the mid-1990s. She is also a close friend of board member Kass Ardinger, having donated $1,000 to her unsuccessful state Senate race last year.

On the city side of the ballot, a third candidate has come forward to run for the now open Ward 3 seat: Robert Harrison, the owner of RJH Builders of Concord.
