Jamison R. Brauer, 22, of Manchester Street in Concord, was arrested at 3 a.m. on June 28, 2015, for simple assault, domestic violence-simple assault, and default or breach of bail conditions. According to an arrest report and court affidavit, officers were sent to the Cumberland Farms on Manchester Street for a report of a couple arguing inside of the bathroom. Before police arrived, the male half had left the store, according to dispatch. The reporting officer spoke to the woman while others looked for the man. The officer overheard the woman in the bathroom crying and at one point, she alleged that her boyfriend had dragged her on the ground by the hair. The officer knocked on the door and spoke to the woman. She stated she had just bailed out Brauer after he was arrested by New Hampshire State Police for DWI. After getting bailed out, he allegedly insisted on driving so she let him and then, he reportedly became aggressive and she got out of the car because she did not feel safe with him driving. Brauer allegedly pulled over and chased her down in the woods. She fell over and then Brauer allegedly grabbed a fistful of hair and dragged her back to the car. The officer noticed scratches and scuffs on her arms, messy hair, and dirt on her clothes, according to the report. When they got to the store, she reportedly entered and locked herself in the bathroom. “(The woman) told me that the entire argument revolved around a small amount of heroin that she had, and that Bauer wanted it,” the officer reported. “(She) said Bauer was able to push his way into the bathroom and took the heroin from her.” The other officers stationed themselves outside of Brauer’s apartment and later, took him into custody.

The driver, Thompson, was allegedly slurring his words, had glassy, bloodshot eyes, and had “chewing tobacco hanging off his bottom lip,” according to the report. When asked where he was coming from, he reportedly said Pleasant Street and then Margarita’s and later, Applebee’s. He was asked to take a field sobriety test and was taken into custody. Thompson was allegedly “unsteady on his feet” while getting out of the car and almost fell back toward the officer. “As I entered my patrol vehicle for transport, I smelt an odor of alcohol (in the cruiser),” the officer reported. “I traveled to headquarters with my window down due to the overpowering odor.”
