Gabrielle S. Schofield, 20, (pictured) of Fisherville Road in Concord, was arrested at 11:13 a.m. on Oct. 12, on two criminal mischief and possession of controlled drugs charges. Officers were called to an apartment on Fisherville Road for a report of a couple “screaming at each other for the past hour.” The officer made contact with a man who reportedly didn’t want to speak with police and quickly tried to shut his apartment door. The officer stuck his foot in the door and, while looking in, noted that there were flowers scattered on the floor and a large amount of smoke inside. The man stated that he and his girlfriend were arguing and she had since left. He stated she wasn’t feeling well, became upset, and threw a vase with flowers in a sink, causing it to smash. The smoke was caused by burnt grease on the stove, he stated. The woman, later identified as Schofield, might be in her car outside, he added. A sergeant and the officer requested entrance into the apartment to check to make sure everything was safe but the man wouldn’t let them in, saying he knew his rights. The officer stated that it wasn’t a search for items but a safety check. The man didn’t move and was warned he would be taken into custody if he didn’t move and he eventually did. Officers checked the apartment and found glass on the carpet from a candleholder. The officer alleged that next to the couch, there was a bong and on a table there were mason jars of a green vegetative matter believed to be marijuana according to the report. Police went downstairs and spoke with Schofield who allegedly admitted to throwing some things but denied that her boyfriend had assaulted her or prevented her from leaving, and she was arrested. Schofield also allegedly admitted that the marijuana was not his, and that charge was added later.
Travis J. MacEachern, 28, of Ashland Street in Manchester, was arrested at 1:09 a.m. on Oct. 20, on a simple assault charge. Officers and a sergeant were sent to Maple Street for a fight. The reporting officer spoke to a woman who alleged that her brother-in-law, MacEachern was at the home and “acting very erratic and hostile,” arguing and fighting. Eventually, according to the allegation, he passed out “either from being intoxicated by alcohol or drugs,” although the officer didn’t smell any alcohol. His girlfriend came over after work and while he was sleeping, eyed text messages on his phone, and got upset, according to the report. The woman woke MacEachern up and the two reportedly started fighting. MacEachern allegedly grabbed her throat and pushed her down on the ground. Another couple was able to restrain him until police arrived. He was arrested and held without bail.
Serena Newton, 41, of Fayette Street in Concord, was arrested at 6:53 p.m. on Oct. 24, on criminal threatening and resisting arrest or detention charges. An officer was sent to a group home for a disturbance. A staff member alleged that Newton allegedly threatened to punch her and called her names. Newtown, the officer alleged, was “still worked up over the situation.” The officer attempted to calm her down while another officer arrived to assist. Newton allegedly told the officer that she should be taken to jail and then, tried to leave the scene. After a bit of back and forth, Newton allegedly pulled away from the officer while he was trying to cuff her. She was later arrested.

Officers were sent to Franklin Street for a report of a domestic. When they arrived, they spoke with a neighbor who alleged that Gilpatric was “belligerent and out of control,” and could hear screaming and smashing glass from the neighboring apartment. The officer spoke to others in the apartment and they stated the same thing, that Gilpatric was allegedly a problem “like every night” due to alcohol. The officers spoke to Gilpatric, who stated that she and her on-and-off-again boyfriend of about 11 years, with whom she shares a child, were fighting. At first, she allegedly stated that fight was only verbal but then, “changed her story and told me that numerous things had been broken during their fight,” according to a court affidavit. The officers later learned that a vase and mirror were smashed, and a door was off its hinges. The boyfriend reportedly stated that she was “drunk and out of her mind,” and yelling at him and the children. Gilpatric was arrested. Elizabeth RD Santos, 27, of Church Street in Pembroke, was arrested at 6:58 p.m. on Oct. 22, and charged with felony habitual offender, driving while intoxicated, disobeying an officer, and unauthorized use of a propelled vehicle. Officers were called to the Steeplegate Mall after getting tipped off about a possible DWI. A witness was on the phone, following the vehicle, and noting infractions to police. The officers approached the vehicle, a Mazda 626, that had driven up onto the curb, and spoke with Santos, who gave police a license that reportedly didn’t look like her. It was checked and later, reportedly revealed to be her sister’s. Police spoke with Santos about her alleged erratic driving. She agreed to a field sobriety test and the officer, believing drugs were impairing her, placed her under arrest. After a check, it was revealed that Santos had her license suspended in April 2009. Police contacted the owner of the vehicle, her mother, and she stated that Santos did not have permission to use the vehicle. A bag of electronics were also found in the vehicle that Santos reportedly wanted to sell, which included at least one item that didn’t belong to her, according to a court affidavit.
Michael Leo Lyon, 23, of Route 4 in Canaan, was arrested at 10:40 p.m. on Oct. 22, on a simple assault charge. Officers were sent to the Fairfield Inn on Gulf Street for a domestic dispute between a couple. A clerk called police at around 9:30 p.m. after a woman came down to the lobby crying and upset after fighting with her fiancée. Both Lyon and the woman stated they had been arguing but nothing physical happened. Officers advised them to be quiet and Lyon reportedly followed police out of the hotel and agreed to separate himself from the woman. At just after 10 p.m., officers returned when the clerk called again because the woman was now alleging that Lyon had thrown alcohol in her face. The officers spoke to Lyon who allegedly stated the “alcohol got spilled,” adding that he didn’t know how it ended up on the woman. He reportedly stated later, “I may have bumped into her, but I don’t remember.” Lyon was reportedly nervous and told officers, “I don’t want to go back to jail. My mom’s coming to get me.” Lyon was on probation out of Grafton County, had also been arrested for burglary in Canaan, and aggravated DWI in Enfield. They went to speak with the clerk and the woman, who was wet on her head and shoulder. After some back and forth about the lack of an apology and changing stories, Lyon was arrested.

Jadczak, 25, of Red Chimney Road in Warner, was arrested at 12:38 a.m. on Oct. 23, and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated, second offense, resisting arrest or detention, disobeying an officer, and possession of drugs. Officers were called to the McDonald’s Restaurant on South Main Street after an accident with one vehicle apparently trying to leave the scene. Jadczak allegedly smelled like alcohol and had bloodshot, glassy eyes, and told the officer a couple of different versions about what he was doing. An officer repeatedly requested his license and registration, but Jadczak allegedly refused multiple times, saying he was just going to get out of his car and get food. When asked to step out of the Subaru, he allegedly refused, so officers attempted to pull him out but he reportedly resisted. Eventually, he was cuffed and put in a cruiser. Jadczak reportedly asked for his wallet and while an officer was collecting his items, he allegedly found a glass pipe with marijuana in it. “During transport, Jadczak told me he didn’t understand what was happening,” according to the officer. During processing, he reportedly had difficulty standing up and was swaying. Seven or eight times, the officer alleged, he explained the charges to Jadczak.

A detective spoke to his former landlord on Pleasant Street who alleged that Cegelis stopped paying rent on Sept. 1, and no one had seen him since.
