Concord Police Say Healy Park Incident Was A Shooting: Follow-Up
Vincent Mott, a "person of interest," was arrested on warrants as well as drug and falsifying evidence charges Monday; Crimeline seeks tips.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police have confirmed an incident in Healy Memorial Park on Friday night was connected to a prior shooting, and a person of interest, a felon with prior criminal history, has been arrested on unrelated charges.
Police received an anonymous tip Thursday about a possible shooting in the area of the park but that the victim was missing. While there was limited information about the exact location of the shooting, detectives searched the area for a victim and followed leads.
Around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while investigating the incident in and around the park, Concord police dispatch received a request for service after a caller reported finding a man, covered in blood, on one of the trails in the park. Officers found the victim in a tent later.

“During the investigation, the Concord Police Department received several anonymous tips regarding details of the incident,” Lt. Thomas Yerkes of the Concord Police Department said. “A person of interest was identified as Vincent Mott, 33, Concord.”
Mott had active warrants for nonappearance in Merrimack County Superior Court and an electronic bench warrant out of Concord District Court, also for nonappearance. The Central New Hampshire Special Operations Unit, the city’s SWAT team, arrested Mott on Monday on the warrants. He was also charged with two felony counts of acts prohibited-possession of controlled drugs, convicted felons, and falsifying physical evidence.
Mott was held without bail and taken to the county jail. He was scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday but skipped it because he told jail officials and his attorney he was not feeling well.
News 603 posted a video on Facebook on Friday night as detectives worked the crime scene.
Yerkes said the investigation into the shooting remained active and ongoing while adding, “This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public at this time.”
Mott is no stranger to the police. He was arrested on a warrant in March 2023. Mott was arrested on a driving after revocation charge in November 2023.
In July 2024, he was arrested as a fugitive from justice out of Massachusetts on a warrant out of Suffolk County Superior Court from February 2024, accusing him of assault with a dangerous weapon with serious bodily injury on a family member, operating under the influence of drugs, violation of an abuse prevention order, and fleeing the Bay State, according to documents. Mott was also accused of second-degree assault-strangulation and domestic violence-second-degree assault-strangulation charges and was arrested on North Main Street. The victim was reportedly an intimate partner.
Mott was arrested on a loitering and prowling charge in August 2024 after an incident or investigation on Fort Eddy Road.
In September 2024, he was arrested on a bench warrant and then sale and possession of controlled drugs after an incident or investigation at Quick Stop at 201 S. Main St.
Mott was picked up on a felony receiving stolen property charge in October 2024 after an investigation or incident at the Best Western on Hall Street.
