Concord Wrestlers Sweep 3 Other High Schools At Their Last Saturday Quad Of The Season
Crimson Tide varsity wrestlers beat Exeter, Spaulding, and Winnisquam; JV faced off against the 3 schools and Franklin in exhibition bouts.
EXETER, NH — Concord wrestlers swept three other high schools in the last Saturday quad of the season in Exeter.
The varsity wrestlers faced off against Division I teams, Exeter and Spaulding high schools, as well as Winnisquam, a D III school. Franklin wrestlers also competed against other schools and the Crimson Tide’s junior varsity squad. Concord High School is now 21-0 with one last match, Timberlane Regional High School, on Wednesday night, before the championship season starts.

Concord beat Exeter, 56-15. Biswas Darji of Concord, in the 106-pound bracket, posted the first 6 points due to a forfeit. Exeter’s Reid Grandmason in the 113 pinned Carter Buxton. Eli Jones of Exeter won in the 120 over Khai Jawitz, 7-0. In the 126, Dominic Schinella of Concord pinned Lucas Trafton. Then, Hudson Berry of Exeter pinned Devin Rivera in the 132. That was the last moment Exeter led the match after Concord won the next eight bouts: Ramon Reynolds pinned Rohan Godse in the 138, Jaxon Carter won by tech fall, 16-0, in the 144 against Charles Evans, Daniel Sheehan pinned Ryan Grandmason in the 150, Leonardo Chung won by tech fall, 15-0, against Ryan Mikulsky, Ryley Holt pinned Juan Bueno in the 165, Maximus Chung pinned Avery Niemi in the 175, Jakob Manseau won the 190 by major decision, 12-1, and Isaiah Puckett pinned Matthew Sturtevant in the 215. Neither Concord nor Exeter fielded 285 wrestlers.

Next up was Spaulding, with the Crimson Tide beating the Red Raiders, 74-5. In the first bout, Buxton pinned Reese Sturtevant in the 113-pound bracket. Isaac Scruton of Spaulding won against Jawitz in the 120 by tech fall, 20-2. Schinella beat Connor Jacques by tech fall, 18-3. Gregg pinned Jakob Frechette in the 132 and Ramon Reynolds in the 138 had a forfeit. Carter pinned Markus Bower in the 144, while Sheehan pinned Drew Reilly in the 150. Leonardo Chung won by major decision, 11-0, against Dillon Nelson, while Holt pinned Liam Oliver in the 165, and Maximus Chung won by forfeit in the 175. Manseau won by tech fall in the 190, 18-3, while Puckett pinned Isaac Carey and Camden Carbone of Concord pinned Aiden Nadeau in the 285.
Concord also beat Winnisquam, 61-10. Schinella pinned Aiden Sufert in the first bout in the 128-pound bracket. Gregg won, 4-3, in a tie breaker against Dylan Griffin in the 132, while Reynolds won by fall in the 138 against Lucas Fournier. Carter beat Roman Berghmans and Sheehan beat Kyra Russell by pins. Colin Parenteau in the 157 beat Leonardo Chung, 13-7. Holt in the 165 won by forfeit. Maximus Chung pinned Isaac. Timmons in the 175, Puckett pinned Andrew Field in the 215, and Carbone pinned Hunter Mulinski in the 285. In the 106, Darji beat Anna Drinkwine by tech fall, 19-3, while Buxton beat Lucas Dunphey by tech fall in the 113, 17-0. Dayton Brigante of Winnisquam beat Jawitz, 7-1, in the 120.
