CONCORD, NH — A late September DWI Saturation Patrol by New Hampshire State Police led to the arrest of one man after stopping 73 motor vehicles in the North Country. James E. Neptune, 35, of Lincoln, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He is due in Plymouth Circuit Court on Oct. 28.

State troopers and local police, according to Staff Sgt. Victor Muzzey of Troop F, also issued 13 citations and 62 warnings for various motor vehicle infraction including speeding, failing to obey traffic signals, moving violations, defective equipment, and using cellphones while driving charges.

The saturation patrol was held between 9 p.m. on Sept. 21, and 3 a.m. on Sept. 22. It was held, according to Muzzey, due to the "elevated number of motorists and visitors" to Lincoln and Woodstock during the Highland Games.

State Issues Fireworks Warning

The state fire marshal issued an emergency removal order this week of a fireworks device called the Excalibur reloadable mortar shell kits due to potential product defect. The device has four reloadable tubes and 24 shells.

A New Hampshire licensed fireworks dealer filed a complaint with the Division of Fire Safety after learning that the fuse was not extended outside the tube at a long enough length to be safely lit – which could cause injury or death.

The state investigated the complaint, found it legitimate, and pulled the product.

If you have the product, don't use it. Return the kit to the store where it was purchased.
