Financial Advisor Seeks Ward 6 Concord City Council Seat: Watch
Jay Belyea, a political newcomer and lifelong resident of New Hampshire, talks about issues facing the city and why he is running in 2023.

CONCORD, NH — One of the two candidates running for the Concord city council in Ward 6 appeared in the Concord TV studios to discuss why he is running.
Jay Belyea, a financial advisor for more than two decades and a lifelong resident of New Hampshire, talks about why he decided to run for the seat. Paula McLaughlin, the incumbent, chose not to respond to invitations to participate in the debate.
Belyea discusses taxes, trash, housing, crime, overlapping issues between downtown councilors, and what it will be like to be one of the newer members of the council, if elected, due to the turnover of at least a third of the body, in 2023.
