CONCORD, NH — A Franklin woman is facing a felony methamphetamine sale charge after being accused of selling the drug in July 2019 to a cooperating individual working with Concord police. According to an affidavit, on July 9 detectives requested the individual to "arrange a purchase of a gram of methamphetamine" for $100 from Carrie Morse, 36, with a last known address of Prospect Street in Franklin. The individual told a detective that "per their arrangements," they would meet Morse at the Concord Homeless Resource Center on North Main Street and make the deal there.

The detective met with the individual, searched them, and ensured they had no money or weapons, according to the report. The detective then wired the individual with an audio recorder and gave them $100 of "buy funds" that were tracked for the deal.

While en route to line up the deal, Morse stated she was no longer at the resource center and was now at the state prison, sitting on a rock wall, according to the affidavit.

"At that time, Morse instructed (the individual) to meet her there to conduct the transaction," the report stated.

The detective saw Morse on the rock wall and after pulling over on the side of North State Street, the individual exited the detective's car, approached Morse, and "conducted the drug transaction directly with Morse," according to the affidavit.

The detective weighed the drug on a scale and found it to be 0.8 grams and then field tested it which came out positive. Morse, the detective said, was identified through her Facebook social media account as well as a photo from the New Hampshire Department of Motor Vehicles.

The detective filed an affidavit for her arrest on July 30, 2019, and police arrested Morse on Jan. 22, 2020. She's due in Merrimack County Superior Court for a dispositional conference hearing on May 1.

Morse has a number of arrests during the past few years, according to reports on Patch.
