CONCORD, NH — A former New Hampshire Fugitive of the Week who has been at-large for nearly two years has been captured, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. Ramon Rivera Muniz, 31, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, was one of six people arrested last week by the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency after a multi-month drug trafficking investigation in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Muniz was featured back in August 2017.

At the time, he was wanted on a parole violation – after being convicted of heroin possession – and another possession charge issued out of Hillsborough County. Last week, he was arrested on warrants and a pending charge of possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute.

Muniz, according to Deputy Marshal Jeffrey White, was arrested after a search warrant was executed at a home in Haverhill.

"At the time of arrest, Muniz was using a false name," White said, adding, "his true name was determined during the booking process."

Muniz was initially arrested on the outstanding warrants from the fugitive feature but now has the additional fentanyl distribution charge.
