The entire incident started early Friday afternoon after an alleged attempted burglary incident in Chichester which resulted in the chief of police in that community – Pat Clarke – and later, a state trooper, engaging in a pursuit of an allegedly stolen Mercury Mountaineer. The chase then moved into Concord. The Mountaineer – allegedly being driven by Glodgett – took a turn from the intersection of East Side Drive and Mountain Road, swerved into the opposite lane, and struck a Honda sedan. The crash – as well as Glodgett and Stafford fleeing – was recorded on security video, but not before Glodgett reportedly put the Mountaineer in reverse. It then crashed into Clarke’s unmarked cruiser, according to reports.

Stafford was immediately caught and arrested; Glodgett was able to escape from the area.
