Homeless Man Indicted on Child Rape, Child Sex Images, Other Charges: Indictment Roundup
Plus, alleged Concord burglar and alleged Barnstead drug dealer indicted while a Franklin man was indicted for criminal mischief.
CONCORD, NH — The following people were indicted in February in Merrimack County Superior Court.
Leo Chagnon, 36, of Plains Court in Franklin, for felony criminal mischief. On Jan. 10, 2017, he allegedly knocked over a bookcase which landed on a television and its stand, causing more than $1,500 worth of damage, at a home in Franklin.

Gary Chalifoux, 45, pictured upper left, a homeless man located in Concord, for five counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, 20 counts of manufacture of child sexual abuse images, 18 counts of felonious sexual assault, two counts of registration of online identifiers, all felonies. Between January 2015 and May 2016, he allegedly raped, fondled, and recorded a boy under 13 in Concord. Chalifoux also allegedly failed to notify police that he was using a fake name on Facebook even though he is required to as a sex offender, having been convicted in July 1993 in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North of felonious sexual assault.
Shawn Cochrane, 46, pictured upper right, of Concord, imprisoned at the time of the indictment, for felony issuing bad checks, allegedly on Sept. 3, 2014, at Greenland’s Equipment Corporation for $1,672.60.

Aaron Counter, 34, pictured lower left, of Concord, imprisoned at the time of the indictment, for possession of a narcotic drug-fentanyl, allegedly on Dec. 7, 2016, in Concord. He was previously convicted for possession in Merrimack County Superior Court in October 2012.
Matthew Crowley, 33, of Provence Road in Barnstead, for attempted sale of a narcotic drug-heroin, four counts of sale of a substance represented to be a narcotic drug-heroin, fentanyl, four counts of sale of a narcotic drug-heroin, fentanyl, all felonies, as well as operating with a suspension registration. The alleged drug deals took place on North State Street in November and December 2016. The driving charge stems from an allege incident on North State Street on Nov. 2, 2016.
Amanda Dodd, 29, pictured lower right, of Garvin Falls Road in Concord, for three counts of burglary, theft by unauthorized taking, two counts of receiving stolen property, all felonies. On June 7, 2016, she allegedly stole items from the Cumberland Farms on Manchester Street after previously being convicted of theft in Hillsborough County Superior Court-South in April 2014 and willful concealment in June 2010 in Nashua District Court. On Aug. 18, 2016, she allegedly burglarized three homes on Rumford Street and North Spring Street.
