Hooksett Rest Area Crash, Trucking Checks, Arrests: NHSP Roundup

CONCORD, NH — A Massachusetts woman was found not to be impaired after she drove her sedan into the general store at the Hooksett Rest Area on I-93 South on Saturday. New Hampshire State Police were sent to the rest area at just after 9 p.m. on June 1, 2019, for a report of a crash. Troopers found that the vehicle drove across a curb and then struck the southeast corner of the store, causing damage to a wall and siding, according Lt. Michael Commerford of Troop D.

Neither the 55-year-old driver nor anyone else were injured as a result of the crash which is still under investigation.

“The operator was not found to be impaired and alcohol is not believed to be a factor,” Commerford stated.

During the past week, state troopers conducted commercial motor vehicle checks in a number of New Hampshire communities including Windham.

The saturation enforcement effort was an effort to “reduce traffic collisions involving commercial motor vehicles,” noted Lt. Andrew Player of Troop G.

During the first saturation enforcement on May 28, 129 vehicles were inspected and 218 violations were discovered. At a second one, on May 30, 134 vehicles were inspected and 285 violations issued.

Eighty-six of the violations during both enforcements were so severe, according to Player, that either the vehicle or the driver was taken out of service.

Troop A Arrests

Merrissa Shock, 27, of Rochester, was arrested on May 15, on a driving under the influence charge on New Rochester Road in Dover.

Susan Hanson, 37, of Dover, was arrested on May 14, on driving after revocation or suspension and suspension of vehicle registration charges on I-95 South prior to Exit 2 in Hampton.

David Gates, 23, of Portsmouth, was arrested on May 14, on reckless driving, driving after revocation or suspension, and conduct after-property damage on I-95 North in Portsmouth.

Yeiser Lopez, 19, of Lawrence, MA, was arrested on May 13, on speeding – 21+ mph over 65 limit and operating without a valid license on I-95 South in Seabrook.

Kristin Raynor, 29, of Dover, was arrested on May 12, on a driving after revocation or suspension-subsequent charge on Gosling Road in Portsmouth.

Jessica Michaud, 36, of Manchester, was arrested on May 12, and charged with reckless operation, driving after revocation or suspension-subsequent, and disobeying an officer on Route 4 in Durham.

Marisa Richard, 27, of Derry, was arrested on a driving under the influence charge on May 11, on Route 101 West near Exit 13 in Hampton.

Petrit Karabina, 62, of Peabody, MA, was arrested on May 11, on an operating without a valid license charge on May 11, on A Street in Hampton.

Avery Knight, 24, of Rochester, was arrested on a driving under the influence charge on May 11, near Exit 1 on Route 16 North in Newington.

Kevin Mahoney, 34, of Seabrook, was arrested on May 11, on driving after revocation or suspension and suspension of vehicle registration charges on I-95 North in Seabrook.

Matthew Boyd, 35, of Dover, was arrested on May 11, on driving after revocation or suspension and suspension of vehicle registration charges on Route 16 North in Dover.

Dean Donnell, 20, of Nashua, was arrested on May 11, on Route 101 East near Exit 12 in Exeter. He was charged with transportation of alcohol by a minor, unlawful possession/intoxication, and possession greater than 3/4 an ounce of marijuana or 5 grams of hashish.

Troop B Arrests

Danielle Lacroix, 43, of Hooksett, was arrested on May 16, on a driving under the influence charge on I-93 North in Manchester.

Jeremiah Thissell, 41, of Goffstown, was arrested on May 16, on a bench warrant. He was arrested on I-293 North in Manchester.

Joshua Fay, 44, of New Boston, was arrested on May 15, on suspension of vehicle registration and driving after revocation or suspension charges on Route 101 East.

Christian Fonseca-Nascimento, 23, was arrested on May 15, on an operating without a valid license charge on the Everett Turnpike North in Nashua.

Marcus Prentiss, 40, of Riverside, RI, was arrested on May 13, on driving after revocation or suspension and driving after revocation or suspension-subsequent charges in Bedford on the Everett Turnpike North at the tolls.

Christian Hyatt, 18, of Merrimack, was arrested on May 13, and charged with possession of a controlled drug and transport drugs in a motor vehicle on the Everett Turnpike North in Nashua.

Mark Waniski, 54, of Prescott, AZ, was arrested on May 12, 2019, on driving under the influence and driving under the influence-adult greater than 0.08 charges on I-293 North in Manchester.

Brandon Compoh, 22, of Canton, MA, was arrested on May 12, on speeding – 21+ mph over 65 limit and operating without a valid license charges on I-93 South in Salem.

Tatiana Jarrie, 32, of Nashua, was arrested on May 12, on driving under the influence and driving under the influence-adult greater than 0.08 charges on the Everett Turnpike North in Merrimack.

Jose Trochez Franco, 30, of Chelsea, MA, was arrested on May 11, on speeding – 21+ mph over 65 limit and operating without a valid license charges on I-93 South in Salem.

Sean Finn, 24, of Manchester, was arrested on May 11, on driving after revocation or suspension-subsequent, suspension of vehicle registration, and driver’s license prohibitions charges on the Everett Turnpike South in Merrimack.

Heath Jacques, 45, of Dracut, MA, was arrested on May 11, on aggravated driving under the influence – 0.16+, driving under the influence, and driving under the influence-adult greater than 0.08 charges on I-93 North in Londonderry.

William Louis, 51, of Hooksett, was arrested on May 11, and charged with driving after revocation or suspension and driver’s license prohibitions on I-293 North in Manchester.

Nicholas Frenette, 26, of Dracut, MA, was arrested on May 11, on a driving under the influence-adult greater than 0.08 charge on I-93 South near Exit 5 in Londonderry.

Troop D Arrests

Luke Avery, 43, of South Ryegate, VT, was arrested on May 16, on a driving after revocation or suspension charge on I-89 South in Hopkinton.

Robert Wilkinson, 56, of Manchester, was arrested on May 16, on a domestic violence-stalking charge on the northbound Hooksett rest area.

Timothy Frey, 32, of Boston, MA, was arrested on a reckless operation charge on I-93 in Bow.

Amanda Emmons, 37, in Manchester, was arrested on May 16, on an obstruct government administration charge on the northbound Hooksett rest area.

George Mellen, 19, of Enfield, was arrested on May 15, and charged with reckless operation, driving after revocation or suspension, disobeying an officer, transport alcohol by minor, and unlawful possession/intoxication on Village Road in Wilmot.

Seamus Murphy, 37, of Grafton, was arrested on May 15, on driving after revocation or suspension, driving after revocation or suspension-subsequent, and failure to use read turn signal charges on I-89 North in Grantham. Also arrested was Matthew Wilcox, 45, of Windsor, VT, was arrested on May 15, for arrest prior to requisition.

Regina Pero, 46, of Lebanon, was arrested on May 15, on driving after revocation or suspension and suspension of vehicle registration charges on I-89 South in Lebanon.

Pascal Mugabo, 26, of Manchester, was arrested on May 15, on driving after revocation or suspension and suspension of vehicle registration charges on I-93 South in Bow.

Austin Ayer, 22, of Laconia, was arrested on three bench warrants on May 14, on Lynch Road in Hill.

Tyler Guay, 25, of Londonderry, was arrested on May 14, on I-93 North in Bow on driving after revocation or suspension and suspension of vehicle registration charges.

Gabriel Camilo-Baptiste, 24, of Newport, was arrested on May 13, on a driving after revocation or suspension charge in Hooksett near the tolls.

Randy Ross, 33, of Warner, was arrested on May 13, and charged with operating after certified as a habitual offender, disobeying an officer, reckless conduct-deadly weapon, uninspected vehicle, and a bench warrant on I-93 North at the Hooksett rest area.

Sara Zareas, 34, of Gilford, was arrested on May 13, on a possession of fentanyl charge on I-93 North in Hooksett.

Alexander Corbin, 26, of Chelmsford, was arrested on May 13, on a driving after revocation or suspension charge on I-93 North in Bow.

Lionel Panli, 27, of Worcester, MA, was arrested on May 13, on a driving after revocation or suspension charge on I-89 South in Hopkinton.

James Gilcreast, 27, of Dummer, was arrested on May 13, on a driving after revocation or suspension charge on I-93 North in Hooksett.

Monique Wooten, 35, of Weare, was arrested on May 12, on driving under the influence, speeding – 21+ mph over the 65 limit, and open container-second or subsequent offense charges on I-93 North near the Hooksett tolls.

Esther Moran, 19, of Hinesburg, VT, was arrested on May 12, and charged with transportation of alcohol by a minor and unlawful possession/intoxication on I-93 North in Bow. She and another teen from Richmond, VT, were taken into protective custody.

Stephen Cote, 35, of Gilford, was arrested on May 11, on felon in possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of burglary tools charges as well as a bench warrant in Meredith.

Albert Leveque, 47, of Laconia, was arrested on May 11, on a driving under the influence charge on I-93 South in Bow.

Michael Desisto, 26, of Haverhill, MA, was arrested on May 11, on a reckless operation charge on I-89 in Sutton.

Michael Costa, 33, of Rochester, was arrested on May 11, on a driving after revocation or suspension charge on I-93 North in Bow.

Justin Santagati, 37, of Manchester, was arrested on May 11, and charged with domestic violence-reckless conduct, domestic violence-criminal threat, domestic violence-simple assault, and criminal mischief on I-93 North near the tolls in Hooksett. He was also charged with a bench warrant on May 11, at the Strafford County Jail in Dover.

Adam Hodge, 42, of Loudon, was arrested on May 11, on possession of a controlled drug, transportation of drugs in a motor vehicle, controlled drug-controlled premises where drugs kept charges on I-93 North in Bow.

Matthew McGrath, 43, of Stow, MA, was arrested on May 11, on driving under the influence, speeding – 21+ over 65 limit, possession of a controlled drug-cocaine, and open container charges on I-89 South in Springfield.

Tyler Hall, 31, of Tilton, was arrested on May 10, on a driving after revocation or suspension charge on I-93 South in Canterbury.

Henry Mahoney, 68, of Grafton, was arrested on May 10, and charged with driving after revocation or suspension, misuse of plates, manufacturing/selling official inspection/registration sticker, uninspected vehicle, unregistered vehicle, and motor vehicle not equipped with an alcohol interlock device on I-89 South in Springfield.
