Minimum Security Inmate Placed On Escape Status, Quickly Caught
Shane Adkinson of Nashua was placed on escape status on after allegedly leaving his restaurant job in Concord but is now back behind bars.

CONCORD, NH — A BOLO (be-on-the-lookout) alert by the New Hampshire Department of Corrections concerning a minimum-security inmate who allegedly failed to return to a halfway house has been rescinded. On Tuesday night, Shane Adkinson, 35, was last seen at the Cheers Restaurant on Depot Street in Concord at around 5:20 p.m. An alert was issued about two hours later to police around the state, according to scanner chatter.
The NH DOC released a press release later during the evening but at just before 11 p.m. on May 28, 2019, pulled the alert, noting that he had been caught and was behind bars.
Adkinson was eligible for parole in September. If convicted on the escape charge, a felony, he faces 3.5 to seven years in prison.

Adkinson, according to posts on Patch, has been arrested and indicted on a number of charges during the past few years.
In March 2016, he was accused of two felony counts of domestic violence-stalking. In September of that year, he was arrested in Concord on assault charges. In 2015, he was convicted of stalking.

Back in November and December 2016, he was accused of selling crack cocaine in Nashua and was arrested as part of a Granite Hammer drug sweep. In 2017, he was indicted on eight counts.
