CONCORD, NH — A New Hampshire Department of Corrections fugitive of the week from May 17 has been captured.

Scott Donahue, 60, was wanted on a parole violation after being convicted of second-degree assault-domestic violence-strangulation. After being featured, the department of corrections received a tip from the public that led to him being found — “near the residence of the victim in his underlying case,” the department’s public information office said.

“Donahue was apprehended by the Allenstown Police Department, with the help of the Merrimack County Sheriff’s Department,” the report said. “Following his bail hearing, Donahue is being held on preventative detention at the Merrimack County House of Corrections, where he awaits a probation hearing in front of the Merrimack County Superior Court.”

The department thanked the public for its assistance in finding Donahue.

According to superior court records, Donahue has an open felony credit card fraud charge out of Concord from November 2022. He was accused of two witness tampering and three breach of bail charges in Boscawen, but the tampering charges were dropped in June 2022. Donahue was convicted on the drunken driving charge in Boscawen in April 2020.
