Pittsfield Man Accused Of Hiding Stolen Laptop In His Pants: Log
Convicted Concord drunken driver arrested again; man faces strangulation, other charges; and Chichester man arrested on resisting charge.

CONCORD, NH — Scott M. Donahue, 56, of Laurel Street in Concord was arrested at 1:14 a.m. on Feb. 25, 2020, on two counts of driving or operating under influence of drugs or liquor; driving or operating with excess alcohol concentration-second offense charges and a license required penalty violation. Officers were sent to Speedway on Hall Street for a report of a man sitting inside of a pickup truck outside of a gas pump for about 30 minutes. The person requesting police attempted to make contact with the man but "was sworn at," an affidavit stated. Upon approaching the truck, the officer reported it was running but the man in the driver's seat had "his head slumped forward." The driver, identified as Donahue, was later "trying to use his cell phone," and the officer accused Donahue of having "extremely slow" movements and answering him by saying, "Yeah," a lot. The officer also reported "a very strong odor of marijuana" coming from the truck and "observed a glass pipe in the center console," the report said. Donahue reportedly refused a field sobriety test, was arrested, and held after refusing bail. The officer wrote that Donahue was convicted of DWI in March 2016 in Brentwood District Court and his license was suspended in January.
Gary Douglas Beaton, born 1951, of Chichester was arrested at 12:36 a.m. on Feb. 24 on a warrant and a resisting arrest or detention charge after an incident at The Hotel Concord on South Main Street.
Sean K. Omara, born 1971, of Concord was arrested at 8:14 p.m. on Feb. 23 on a bench warrantdue to nonappearance in court on two methamphetamine dealing charges. He was arrested on South Main Street. Omara is due in Merrimack County Superior Court for a dispositional conference on April 22.

Michael J. Grass, 34, of Bridge Street Pittsfield was arrested at 7:45 p.m. on Feb. 23 on a felony theft by unauthorized taking charge due to two prior convictions. An officer was sent to Target on D'Amante Drive for a report of a stolen laptop — with loss prevention accusing the man of attempting to conceal the laptop down his pants while in the men's room, according to an affidavit. When officers arrived, loss prevention had the man, Grass, in an office, after New Hampshire State Police stopped him outside of the store, attempting to flee, the officer wrote. The officer reviewed security footage of the incident and while doing so, accused Grass of repeatedly saying he wanted to "cut a deal" to pay for the laptop, the report said. The laptop was valued at $249.
Jonathan Scott Jeffrey Lopes, born 1985, of Concord was arrested at 7:47 a.m. on Feb. 23 on a warrant after an incident on Bradley Street.

William Leroy Vinal, born 1968, of Concord was arrested at 3:53 a.m. on Feb. 23 on a warrant after an incident at the Clinton Street park and ride.
Shannon Roth, 50, of Route 3 in Holderness was arrested at 5:51 p.m. on Feb. 21 on felony theft by unauthorized taking due to two prior convictions. An officer wass sent to Shaw's Supermarket on D'Amante Drive for a report of a cooperative shoplifter in custody by loss prevention, according to an affidavit. The loss prevention employee accused Roth of filling several bags full of groceries and leaving the store without paying for them. The value of the items was $127.60. The officer viewed security camera footage of the incident. A check yielded two willful concealment convictions from Plymouth District Court in July 2012 and Franklin District Court in October 2012. When questioned about the incident, Roth said she was in Concord to register "several company trucks," was accused of admitting she had money for the groceries and used "poor judgement" twice during the interview.
Ryan Keeler, born 1987, of Concord was arrested at 10:05 p.m. on Jan. 24 on second-degree assault-strangulation, second-degree assault, and two simple assault charges. He was arrested after an incident on Loudon Road near the old Toys R US location.
