At 2:15 p.m. on Sept. 28, 2016, Clinton will be joined by U.S. Sen. The campaign stated that Sanders will join Clinton to discuss “their shared belief that cost should not be a barrier for anyone who chooses to go to college, and student debt should not hold Americans back after they leave school.” Part of the discussion will include Clinton’s plan to enable all students with family income up to $125,000 to attend an in-state public college or university tuition-free. The campaign said her plan would cover more than 80 percent of all families.

The trip will be the first time Clinton has been in the state in a few months. U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine, D-VA, the party’s vice presidential nominee, was in the state earlier this month as was U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-VT.
