Salem Man Arrested On Drunken Driving Charges After Main Street Crash: Police Log

Plus: Methuen man arrested on assault, mischief charges; Manchester man picked up on stalking charge; Haverhill man accused of bail jumping.

SALEM, NH — Daniel Needham, 60, of Chatham Circle in Salem was arrested on a driving under the influence charge at 9:23 p.m. on June 10, 2023. Police received a report about a suspicious person on Kelly Road. The caller stated there appeared to be a person laying down in the middle of the road. Later, police stopped a car near the entrance near 92 Cluff Crossing Road. Needham was arrested and a 58-year-old woman was taken into protective custody due to intoxication.

Jonathan Dorazio, 33, of Frye Roads in Methuen, Massachusetts, was arrested at 1:38 p.m. on June 10 on criminal mischief, resisting arrest or detention, and three simple assault charges. Police were sent to Hampshire Road for a report of a man, on top of a woman, assaulting her inside the third row of an SUV. The victim was reportedly bleeding and not moving. Salem fire and rescue teams were also called to the scene. Dorazio was arrested and later released on bail.

Gerge Gonzalez, 51, of Edwin Avenue in Methuen, MA, was arrested at 12:40 p.m. on June 10 on a willful concealment charge. He was arrested after police were sent to Walmart on North Broadway Street for a report of a shoplifter.

Ryan VW Parenteau, 39, of Magnolia Street in Lawrence, MA, was arrested at 2:02 p.m. on June 7 on theft detection device remover and two willful concealment charges. Police were sent to Macy’s at the Mall at Rockingham Park for a report of a shoplifter. Parenteau was held on $500 cash bail and taken to the Rockingham County Jail.

Anthony Michael Helinski, 39, of Cypress Street in Salem was arrested at 2:58 a.m. on June 7 on a domestic violence-simple assault charge. Police were sent to Cypress Street for a report of a domestic incident. Helinski was arrested and released on personal recognizance.

Gilbert Felix Centeno, 33, of Hanover Street in Manchester was arrested at 7:07 p.m. on May 27 on a stalking charge. Police were sent to the Park View Inn on South Broadway for a report of a man and a woman having a loud argument. Centeno was later arrested and held. Also, a 32-year-old woman was taken into protective custody due to alcohol and then taken to jail.

Tudor Rojco, 49, of Porcupine Circle in Salem was arrested at 8:45 p.m. on May 15 on aggravated driving under the influence-passenger under 16, DUI-adult more than 0.08; minor more than 0.02, and DUI charges. Police were sent to a car crash on Main Street near the library involving one car with airbags deployed. Rojco was arrested and later, released on personal recognizance.

Francis M. Lemieux, 59, of North Main Street in Salem was arrested at 3:33 p.m. on May 15 on stalking and breach of bail charges. He was arrested on a follow-up call on North Main Street. Lemieux was held and taken to jail.

Michael Shawn Hamor, 46, of West Meadow Road in Haverhill, MA, was arrested on a bench warrant at 7:48 p.m. on May 3 as well as bail jumping and breach of bail charges. He was arrested on a warrant and released on personal recognizance.

Sana Mohammed Ibrahim, 50, of Sorrento Avenue in Methuen, MA, was arrested at 6:57 p.m. on May 3 on a willful concealment charge. She was arrested after an incident at Macy’s at the Mall at Rockingham Park. Ibrahim was released on personal recognizance.

Ashley M. Bassitt, 33, of Sandpiper Path in North Hampton, was arrested at 6:47 p.m. on May 3 on a transport drugs in a motor vehicle charge. Also arrested was Derek R. Van Lier, 37, of Belgrade Street in Manchester on a deal-possess prescription drugs charge. On Salem Street, a sergeant was out with a motor vehicle whose passengers were reportedly soliciting in the area. Both were arrested and released on personal recognizance.

A woman was taken into protective custody at 6:45 p.m. on May 3 after an incident at the Holiday Inn on Keewaydin Drive.

Kevin Shawn Lynch, 47, of Main Street in Somersworth was arrested at 3:43 p.m. on May 3 on a willful concealment charge. Police were sent to Home Depot on South Broadway after loss prevention accused a vendor of stealing more than $550 worth of merchandise. Lynch was arrested and released on personal recognizance.

Darryl Arthur Rodger, 62, a homeless man now located in Salem, received a summons at 1:53 p.m. on May 3 on a disorderly conduct charge after a motor vehicle stop on Cluff Crossing Road.
