Stratham Man Indicted On Hampton Gun, Vehicle Theft Charges: Superior Court Roundup

Plus: Lawrence man indicted fentanyl sale charge; man accused of restraining teen; elderly NY man indicted on Portsmouth ID fraud charges.

BRENTWOOD, NH — A Rockingham County grand jury indicted the following people recently.

James Michael Albert, 40, of Sullivan Street in Manchester on a felony theft by unauthorized taking charge. He was accused of stealing more than $1,501 worth of merchandise from Macy’s at the Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem on June 25.

Kent Oscar Anderson, 41, of Highland Road in Merrimac, Massachusetts, on a felony possession of fentanyl charge on April 12, 2022, in Seabrook.

Laihonel Santiago Arias Guzman, 24, of Willoughby Street in Lawrence, MA, on a felony sale of fentanyl charge. He was accused of selling the drug to a Salem police officer on Nov. 24, 2021.

Duane B. Demeritt, 67, of Shattigee Road in Chester on a felony criminal restraint charge. He was accused of bringing a teenager to the ground, grabbing their hair, pinning them, and impeding their breathing on Oct. 27, 2023.

Denise B. Demoria, 53, of Nottingham Square Road in Epping on a felony criminal mischief charge. She was accused of hatcheting and writing on the walls of a home on Nottingham Square Road on May 17 causing more than $1,500 worth of damage.

Kevin Dale Downs, 66, of South Liberty Drive in Stony Point, New York, on identity fraud, attempted theft by deception, and forgery charges, all felonies. He was accused of posing as another on May 3 to access $7,400 from a Bangor Savings Bank account in Portsmouth.

James Roland Dustin, 22, of Frying Pan Lane in Stratham on two theft by unauthorized taking-firearm and five theft by unauthorized taking charges, all felonies. He was accused of stealing a purse and a 2005 Ford Taurus in Hampton on June 11 and stealing a wallet from another person’s vehicle in Hampton on June 16, stealing a Bergara B14 Bolt Action .22 and Smith & Wesson 9 mm from another person’s vehicle, an iPad, from another person’s vehicle in Hampton on June 16, and a 2013 BMW X5 in Hampton on June 16, according to the indictments. Dustin has been convicted of theft twice before. Michelle J. Fraser, 42, of Fernview Avenue in North Andover, MA, on a felony tampering with witnesses and informants charge. She was accused of attempting to induce another to call a prosecutor and tell them to drop the assault charge or words to that effect on March 12 in Sandown.

Ricky C. Hartford, 42, of Hayward Street in Manchester on three felony reckless conduct counts. He was accused of erratically driving on Main Street in Epping on March 27 and putting pedestrians in danger.

John Thomas Kahl, 41, of Middle Road in Portsmouth on four possession of controlled drug charges, cocaine, fentanyl, lorazepam, and, crack cocaine, and three possession of a controlled drug with intent to dispense charges, crack cocaine, fentanyl, and cocaine, all felonies, on April 6 in Portsmouth.
