NH's Most Horrific Crashes of 2015
Whether it was commuters smashing into troopers or people tragically losing their lives, some New Hampshire roads were downright dangerous.

While 2015 will be remembered for a lot of things, from a news perspective, one thing that isn’t lost on anyone is that the highways and bi-ways of the Granite State seem to have become more dangerous.
From high-speed pursuits to deadly motorcycle crashes as well as fender-benders on city and town streets and state trooper cruisers getting hit on slippery Interstates, 2015 was a dangerous year on the roads.
Even before this year, texting had become a public safety issue. So much so that officials moved to approve a hands-free electronic device law, due to the elevated risk of crashes and, in some cases, death. The law started in New Hampshire in July. Late this year, state officials also warned drivers to “take it slow” and prepare for winter road conditions especially since last winter, about 50 snowplow trucks and cruisers were hit.

Safety tips
Some ways you can improve your safety on the road – as well as others you are sharing the road with – include keeping children buckled with safety belts at all times, put down the phone – it can wait, avoid driving when you’re tired or taking medication, never drink and drive, always use your signals when turning, and try to be courtesy, too.
