HOBOKEN, NJ —The Baby Gap children's store in Hoboken has posted a sign in the window saying it will close soon, and eagle-eyed Reddit users have found evidence that a Nike store may arrive in its place.

The Baby Gap store at 222 Washington St., part of the Gap chain, posted a sign earlier this month saying they will close. A staff member reached at the store this week said it's likely that they'll close some time in January 2022, but they haven't set a date.

Users in a Hoboken Reddit discussion pointed out that last month, an applicant asked the Hoboken Zoning Board for permission for a sign at the location featuring the Nike "Swoosh" symbol.
