WEATHER ALERT: Black Ice, Refreeze Could Hamper Westwood's Monday Commute
Residual water will freeze as temperatures fall into the 10 to 20 degree range Sunday night and Monday morning.

The weather got warm enough to melt the snow. Now it’ll get cold enough to turn it back into ice.
The National Weather Service has issued two alerts, saying temperatures rose above the freezing mark throughout eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, resulting in a fair amount of snowmelt.
Residual water, however, will freeze as temperatures fall into the 10 to 20 degree range Sunday night and Monday morning. Readings are forecast to drop into the single digits in the elevated terrain.

“If you will be going out overnight or on Monday morning, beware of icy patches on roads, walkways and parking lots,” according to the National Weather Service.
In its “Hazardous Weather Outlook,” the National Weather Service warned that any remaining water on roads, sidewalks, driveways, parking lots and other untreated surfaces will refreeze Sunday night as temperatures drop well below freezing.

Wind gusts could increase to 25 mph with a high of only 19 degrees and a low of 2 degrees expected in much of New Jersey on Monday. Wind-chill temperatures will feel like 5 to -5 degrees.
