Cops: Couple Charged in Uniondale Knifepoint Robbery

Two other suspects have not yet been caught, cops said.

A woman faces charges for her part in a robbery at knifepoint of two people inside their Uniondale home, according to Nassau County Police.

Cops said Doris Castro, 37, of Hempstead, went to a Uniondale apartment to visit people she had not seen for several months.

About 20 minutes after Castro entered the home, three men with knives forced their way into the apartment, police said. Castro was ordered to lie on the ground while the victims, a 26-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, were tied up, cops said.
