Levittown, Island Trees Decide on Monday Classes

Snow brings changes to school schedules Monday.

Levittown and Island Trees officials have decided to delay classes as snow blankets Long Island.

Both Levittown School District and Island Trees School District will have a two-hour delayed start for all schools Monday.

Levittown released the following message:

Due to the recent storm, in order to give road crews and our own staff time to make it safe to transport children and clean our parking lots, we will be conducting a two-hour delayed opening on Monday, March 02, 2015.

Therefore, all bus routes will also be delayed by 2 hours. Children should be at their bus stops 2 hours later than normal. For students who DO NOT receive transportation: High School students should report at 9:27 AM, Middle School students should report at 9:57 AM, and elementary school students should report at 11:10 AM. The AM session of GC Tech will be cancelled and the pm session will begin at the regularly scheduled time of 11:50 am.

Please Note: With the delayed opening there will also be no LAMP.

Should the weather conditions deteriorate further, we may need to close school. If that is the case we will call you no later than 5:30 AM on Monday, March 02, 2015.
