Lindenhurst Man Dies After Motorcycle Strikes SUV

A Lindenhurst man was killed in a crash between his motorcycle and an SUV in North Lindenhurst Saturday night, police said.

According to police, Meenawatti Ciccone, 44, of Amityville, was driving a 2013 Mitsubishi SUV eastbound on 45th St crossing Straight Path at about 7:15 pm. when a motorcycle traveling north on Straight Path struck the Mitsubishi.

The motorcyclist, Christopher Sliwoski, 38, was ejected from the bike and was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

Ciccone was not injured and remained at the scene. The vehicles were impounded for safety checks.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call the First Squad at 631-854-8652.
