  3. Drug Dealer Arrested After Selling Heroin by Massapequa Park Elementary School: Police - In addition, two other men were charged with possessing his heroin in envelopes labeled 'BEAST MODE."
  4. New Dick's Sporting Goods Store to Open in Massapequa - The store was built at the former Walmart building.
  5. Man Fatally Struck By Train In Massapequa Park - The man was fatally struck by a train at the Massapequa Park train station in December.
  6. Hobby Lobby To Open First Nassau Store - The new store is expected to bring 35 to 50 jobs.
  7. Police Investigating Dead Body Found In Massapequa Preserve - The body of an unidentified man was discovered in the area in March.
  8. 10 Long Island Residents Involved In $147M Boiler Room Scheme: U.S. Attorney - The group mainly targeted senior citizens in the stock manipulation scheme between 2014 and 2017, authorities say.
  9. HomeGoods Announces Opening Date Of New Massapequa Location - The new location opened up in October.
  10. Massapequa Firefighter Dies From 9/11 Related Illness - The 37-year-old, who went to Ground Zero as part of the Massapequa Fire Department team, died in June.
