<h3>A Novel Supper: An immersive, three-course family-style supper inspired by The Rally</h3>The Sanderling Resort and Duck’s Cottage Coffee &amp; Books invite you to a special evening of literary indulgence with the next installment of Novel Supper, an immersive dining series where celebrated stories inspire an extraordinary meal.
Join author Carla Vass for an extraordinary evening at The Sanderling Resort celebrating the release of The Rally, a novel where adventure, discovery, and the open road take center stage.
Inspired by the spirit of the story, an artfully composed, multi-course dinner will unfold throughout the evening, inviting guests to experience the novel through food, conversation, and place. Vass will be on hand to share the inspiration behind The Rally, discuss the characters and stories that inhabit its pages, and offer a personal glimpse into the creative journey behind the novel.
The evening concludes with an opportunity to meet Carla Vass personally and have a copy of The Rally signed—a memorable keepsake from an intimate evening celebrating literature, travel, and the art of storytelling.
Three-Course European Road Trip
Guests will take their seats at The Starting Line, where the journey begins with burrata and marinated heirloom tomatoes, layered with basil pesto, aged balsamic, and grilled French bread. A Mediterranean antipasti spread of prosciutto, marinated artichokes, Castelvetrano olives, and roasted peppers sets the pace for an evening inspired by the flavors and traditions of Europe.
The journey continues with The Grand Tour, a family-style feast that travels from the Tuscan countryside to the Mediterranean coast. Tuscan red wine–braised short ribs, finished with wild mushroom jus and crispy shallots, share the table with lemon and herb–roasted branzino, blistered tomatoes, capers, and white wine butter. Truffle-Parmesan whipped potatoes and charred broccolini with garlic, Calabrian chile, and fresh lemon complete this abundant course -rich, vibrant, and meant to be passed around the table.
At The Finish Line, indulge in two distinctly European-inspired sweets. Warm limoncello bread pudding is served with vanilla bean custard and lemon mascarpone sauce, while Devonshire Premium Chocolate Mosaic Cake layers chocolate cheesecake and buttermilk cocoa sponge with a bright raspberry coulis. A fitting finale to a culinary journey filled with discovery, indulgence, and a little wanderlust.
Designed to be savored slowly, the evening brings together exceptional food, thoughtful conversation, and the pleasures of a great story.
