• Scoping period for Red Drum Fishery Management Plan review begins today (nc.gov) — State fisheries officials are reviewing red drum management and are inviting public input, including an in-person scoping meeting at College of the Albemarle in Manteo on October 22. You can also submit written comments through October 30, helping shape any future rule changes that could affect local anglers, guides, and coastal businesses around Manteo and the Outer Banks.
