• Dare County's Memorial Day 2026 Closures and Schedule Changes (outerbanksvoice.com) — If you live in Nags Head, you’ll need to check with the town directly for any Memorial Day 2026 trash or office schedule changes, since Dare County Public Works doesn’t serve addresses inside town limits. County offices and facilities will close May 25, but trash pickup for unincorporated Dare and Kitty Hawk will run on a normal schedule, with expanded Saturday service starting May 30 in several beach communities.
