While many people see this time of year as the season for giving, others invariably see it as more opportunities for taking. From porch package pirates to armed robbers, law enforcement throughout the state remains busy serving and protecting their local communities as best they can.

Hundreds Of Packages Stolen By Amazon Contractor Found By Police

• Heriberto Villarino Zamora, 33, is accused of withholding $16K worth of packages he was meant to deliver for Amazon across the metro area.

Sheriff's Bait Package Nabs 2 In Aloha; Exposes Thief Network

• Jason McEuin and Jackielyn Boyce are accused of stealing the Washington County Sheriff's bait package Monday night.

$30K, Meth, And More Seized In Drug Bust In Polk, Marion Counties

• Ronald Selby, Monique Somora, and Felipe Rodriguez Jr. were arrested Dec. 14 for their respective roles in the alleged Dallas drug ring.

Sheriff's Office Deputy Arrested; Second Arrest In Two Weeks

• Washington County Patrol Deputy Bryce Kampwerth, 33, is accused of possessing anabolic steroids, a synthetic testosterone hormone.

Christian Teacher Accused Of Sexually Abusing Student In Oregon

• Andrea Baber, 29, allegedly began a sexual relationship with a former student in 2016, when the boy was just 15 years old.

Religious Teacher Arrested For Sex Abuse At Tigard Business

• Muhammad Hasan allegedly abused two girls under 14 who were his students at the American Islamic Center for the Holy Qur'an.

Gresham Man Accused Of Raping Teens Faces 30+ Sex Crime Charges

• Travis Dick, 23, is suspected of sexually abusing two girls, ages 13 and 15 years old, who live in his Gresham community.

Porch Pirate Pulls Package; Police Post Picture

• The theft, caught on camera, occurred at a Tualatin home in the middle of the afternoon Dec. 13. Anyone with information should call police.

Wanted Felon Arrested After Car Chase In Cornelius

• Police had sought Jose Hernandez-Martinez since he allegedly ran from a crash in Aloha, and later led officers on a chase in July.

Troutdale Shari's Robbed Early Thursday: County Sheriff

• The armed robbery occurred just after 3 a.m. Dec. 21, Multnomah County officials said. The suspect is a stocky white man.

Walmart Robbed At Knifepoint; Suspect Arrested: Portland Police

• Jeremy Williams, 33, allegedly used an 8-inch chef knife to rob the jewelry section of the Walmart on SE 82nd Avenue Thursday evening.

WokShop Robbed At Gunpoint Wednesday Night, Police Say

• A white man in his 20s is suspected of armed robbery at the WokShop in east Portland Dec. 20.

Headphone Thieves Sought By Tualatin Police

• Two women are accused of stealing more than $1,000 worth of Bose headphones from a retailer in Tualatin Dec. 9.

Florida Man Killed In Oregon Car Crash: State Police

• Benjamin Saxby of Venice, Florida, was killed outside of Grants Pass when his minivan left Highway 199. Saxby was not wearing a safety belt.

Woman Killed In Car Versus Pedestrian Crash Wednesday

• Elizabeth Meyers was walking on NE Sandy Blvd when she was struck by a Toyota Camry Wednesday morning, police said.
