A customer at a Sterling coffee shop was caught on video Sunday afternoon berating a barista for asking her to wear a mask while inside the shop. The barista offered to bring the customer's order outside. But the customer still went into a diatribe about her rights being violated when the barista asked her to put on a mask or wait outside for her order.
VA's Eastern Region Sees New High Of Coronavirus Hospitalizations
The Virginia Department of Health reported 999 additional coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing cumulative cases to 87,993. Northern Virginia accounted for 182 of these new cases, or 18 percent. Virginia's cumulative total of deaths is 2,125, and 7,738 hospitalizations have been reported throughout the pandemic.

Coronavirus: DC Health Adjusts Metric For Phase 3 Reopening
D.C. Department of Health reported Wednesday it was adjusting one of the metrics it was using to determine when the District would enter phase three of the city's phased reopening.
Vienna Student Stands Out For Work With Special Needs Students
With schools shutting down early due to the coronavirus, Bea Webster's senior year at Marshall High School didn't end the way she would've wanted it. But earlier in July, the lifelong Vienna resident was recognized for her academic accomplishments, activities, and work with special needs students throughout her high school career. The Fairfax County School Board presented Webster with the 2020 Laura Ashley Piper Scholarship in a July virtual meeting.
