• Mezo, Hazel Keeler (nrvnews.com) — Friends and former neighbors in Christiansburg are invited to remember longtime resident Hazel Gertrude Mezo, who moved here in 1970 when her husband transferred to the Corning plant in Blacksburg. After a life of volunteering, work, and family, she will be interred beside her husband at Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026, following a brief graveside service.
