'Hamilton' Fans Swamp Kennedy Center: Report
Tens of thousands of people, both in person and online, attempted to purchase tickets Monday to "Hamilton," the hip-hop musical coming to the Kennedy Center this summer, according to a media report. On Monday morning, a huge crowd showed up at the performing arts center in Foggy Bottom as the coveted tickets went on sale at 8 a.m.
Virginia GOP Leader Voted Out Over Anti-Semitic Comment
The Republican Party of Virginia has voted out one of its Fairfax County leaders for a comment perceived to be anti-Semitic on Facebook. Fredy Burgos, a Burke resident, faced criticism from members of his party after posting a Facebook comment saying only Christians are fit to run for office. He had been campaigning for Tim Hannigan under a "Make Fairfax Great Again" platform against Jewish candidate Mike Ginsberg for Fairfax County chairman of the party.

Alexandria To Charge Airbnb Tax, First In Virginia
Beginning April 1, the City of Alexandria will collect taxes on Airbnb listings, becoming the first jurisdiction in Virginia to do so. According to Airbnb's website, Alexandria will charge an 6.5 percent local tax, 2 percent state tax plus $1 for bookings 29 nights and less.
Terry McAuliffe New Visiting Professor At George Mason University
Fresh off a four-year run as Virginia's 72nd governor, Terry McAuliffe next will spend some time as a "Distinguished Visiting Professor" at George Mason University, the Fairfax school has announced. The former Democratic National Committee chairman and confidant of Bill and Hillary Clinton will lecture in Schar School classes on matters ranging from general issues to business concerns in the global economy.

Steven Tyler, Halsey, Boy George Added To Wolf Trap Lineup
Wolf Trap's summer concert season is shaping up to be bigger than ever. The performance venue has announced additional shows for the summer, including Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, Alanis Morissette, Halsey and Boy George with Culture Club and The B52s. They will join previously announced shows like The Who's Roger Daltrey, ZZ Top and John Fogerty and Queen Latifah with Common.
