Fatal Crash Reported On Southbound 395 Near Springfield
BREAKING: Southbound 395 is closed before Edsall Road, the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department says.

UPDATE: All lanes have reopened.
SPRINGFIELD, VA—A Prince George's County police officer is dead after a crash on Interstate 395 Tuesday afternoon, Virginia State Police say.
The crash happened in the southbound lanes of I-395, north of Interstate 495 around 2:23 p.m. All southbound lanes before Edsall Road were closed temporarily, reported the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department. As of 3:42 p.m., three left lanes are getting by and one right lane remains closed, according to the Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination. According to WTOP, HOV lanes and ramps from Edsall Road are getting by.

Scanner information indicates two cars were involved in the crash. There was no immediate word on the cause.
The crash remains under investigation by Virginia State Police.
