Update: More Voter Turnout Numbers in Kingstowne
Around 200 voters at each Kingstowne polling place by 11 a.m.
Update, 7:20 pm: We have more voter turnout totals from around Kingstowne. Around 5:20, Edison High has 608 votes cast. Island Creek had 559 votes cast at 5:40 p.m.

Election Day turnout was low at three Kingstowne polling locations by 11 a.m., according to tallies.
At Lane Elementary, 278 people had voted.

At Island Creek, 224 voters had cast their ballots. The polling place's chief election officer, Donald Hinman, said he wouldn't be surprised if his location didn't reach 30 percent turnout by the end of the day. In a similar election in 2007, only 30 percent of Virginia's registered voters cast a ballot.
"We'll be ready for the 2012 election, that's for sure," Hinman said.
The Kingstowne Library polling place recorded higher numbers. At 9 a.m., 250 people had voted. More recent numbers were not available.
Mount Vernon District Supervisor Gerry Hyland (D) came to the library to thank poll workers.
"It's the most enjoyable thing that I do in politics," Hyland said. Still, Hyland expected voter turn-out to be low, around 30 percent.
At Edison High School, 287 people had voted by 11:30 a.m.
