Teen Filmed In Springfield Bathroom, Person Of Interest Wanted

Police say a boy noticed a phone in position to record in his bathroom stall.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — Fairfax County Police are looking for a person of interest after a teen was filmed inside a bathroom at Springfield Town Center on Monday, July 22.

The 16-year-old boy reported the incident in the Macy's bathroom to his mother, who told police. The boy had noticed a hole in the bathroom stall. Upon looking in the hole, he saw a phone positioned to record in his stall and himself on the screen.

The store is cooperating with the police investigation and provided video footage. Video surveillance recorded a man in the area of the store around the home the incident happened.

Police say the person of interest may have information but did not say he is a suspect.
