Body Discovered on Rocks Near Chain Bridge: Police
Body was spotted by hikers Wednesday afternoon, according to Arlington County Police Department spokesman.
Roadways are just beginning to open Wednesday night shortly before 8:30 p.m. near a police investigation of a body found near Chain Bridge, according to an Arlington County Police spokesman.
The body was found shortly before 4:44 p.m. Wednesday afternoon by hikers, according to Dustin Sternbeck, spokesman for Arlington County Police.
It appears the adult male died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Sternbeck said.

Arlington County, U.S. Park Police and D.C. Police worked together Wednesday to recover the body; a team from Arlington County had to rappel down to the rocks, Sternbeck said, after a DC Police boat had trouble maneuvering to the scene.
Arlington County Police are taking the lead in the ongoing investigation of the incident.
