McLean Community Foundation Still Accepting Applications for Grants
The deadline to apply for grant money from the McLean-based philanthropic organization is Oct. 1.

The McLean Community Foundation (MCF) — a nonprofit organization formed to “meet the philanthropic needs” of the McLean community — announced it is currently accepting proposals for its upcoming grants cycle.
Applications can be found on the MCF’s website, and the deadline to file an application is Oct. 1.
The MCF was formed in 1980 by the McLean Citizen’s Association and was formed to benefit the residents of the McLean Planning District of Fairfax County.

Recent organizations to receive grant money include Lift Me Up, the Falls Church/McLean Children’s Center, the McLean Orchestra and the McLean Project for the Arts’ ARTFEST each October.
The MCF also announced its annual gala benefit will be held on Apr. 7, 2016. The theme’s event is “A Night of Magic,” and will include dinner and entertainment at a local McLean home still to be determined.
