City Of Norfolk: Man Dies Following Shooting On Lenoir Circle

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are continuing to investigate a deadly shooting that has left an 18-year-old man dead.

On November 22, 2021, around 7:25 p.m. Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 5800 block of Chesapeake Blvd. When first responders arrived, they found Gyasi H. M. Brathwaite, of Norfolk, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. Brathwaite was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. 

The preliminary investigation has revealed that the shooting took place in the 3600 block of Lenoir Circle. As this homicide investigation continues, anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip through the P3Tips mobile app.
