FBI Norfolk to consolidate with FBI Richmond (wavy.com) — Norfolk residents should know the local FBI office is being consolidated with the Richmond office, a move officials say will actually increase investigative resources focused on Hampton Roads. Leaders emphasize the FBI will keep a strong presence in the region while expanding capacity to tackle violent crime, cyber threats, terrorism, and other security concerns that affect daily life here.

Virginia man identified as third suspect in Goldsboro double homicide investigation (wcti12.com) — Norfolk residents should know that a 19-year-old Virginia man wanted in a Goldsboro double homicide was located and peacefully arrested in Norfolk with help from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. NCIS's Norfolk Field Office emphasized its ongoing partnership with local law enforcement to protect communities where service members and their families live and work.
   

3. Spartans eye rebound in homecoming showdown with VUL (wtkr.com) — Norfolk football fans can look forward to Norfolk State's homecoming showdown against Virginia University of Lynchburg at Dick Price Stadium this Saturday, where the Spartans are undefeated this season. After a heartbreaking road loss, coaches expect injured starter Deljay Bailey to return while standout freshman DaJean Golmond continues to see action, promising an exciting matchup for local supporters.
   

4. Virginians can now add their IDs to Apple Wallet (wavy.com) — Virginia residents, including those flying out of Norfolk International Airport, can now add their state-issued IDs to Apple Wallet for use at TSA checkpoints and DMV locations. You'll still need to carry your physical license when driving, but the digital version lets you share only limited information, like confirming you're over 21, while keeping other personal details private.
