Norfolk prosecutors partner with Harvard to test new AI tool (wvtf.org) — Norfolk's Commonwealth's Attorney is partnering with Harvard researchers on a two‑year study using an AI "triage" tool to better understand the impact of plea deals on reoffending. City Council has already accepted a $38,251 Harvard grant to hire a part‑time data analyst, while prosecutors say they'll treat the tool as advisory and still review each case individually.

New AD House predicts 'greatness' at Old Dominion (wtkr.com) — Old Dominion University in Norfolk has named veteran fundraiser Tim House as its next athletic director, effective in 2027, succeeding longtime AD Wood Selig. House, coming from Michigan State, says he sees the potential for "greatness" in Monarch athletics and plans to boost fundraising and partnerships to help ODU compete for Sun Belt titles.
