• Navy Awards Lockheed Martin $871M F-35 Contract Modification (clearancejobs.com) — Portsmouth will see major long-term Navy investment as MEB General Contractors won a $96 million contract to upgrade the Gosport Substation electrical distribution system at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, with work running through 2032. Another Navy deal also sends EMALS support work to Portsmouth, tying the city even more closely to future Ford-class carrier operations and regional shipyard jobs.
   

• Radian Forge closes $2.5m seed round for large-format WAAM expansion (voxelmatters.com) — A Portsmouth-based advanced manufacturing company, Radian Forge, has secured a $2.5 million seed round to expand its large-format 3D metal printing capacity and grow its Portsmouth operations. The expansion, tied to a previously announced $10.5 million investment, is expected to create 53 local jobs and is backed by state grant support and veteran-focused investors serving naval and defense customers.
   

• U.S. Navy secures long-term support for EMALS catapult system (defence-blog.com) — Portsmouth will handle a share of work on a new $49.3 million Navy contract to sustain the electromagnetic catapult power systems on Ford-class aircraft carriers. While most of the work stays in Minnesota, the deal ensures long-term maintenance, repair, and parts support through 2031 for a key system that has seen reliability challenges.
