• Radford restaurant owners charged with multiple counts of embezzlement (wsls.com) — Owners of Brick House Pizza in Radford have been charged with multiple felony counts of embezzlement, fraud, and tax violations, though officials have released few details so far. Both Jeffrey and Diana Dobbins are currently out on bond, and authorities say this is an active, developing investigation that could have implications for a familiar local business.
   

• Virginia begins issuing chip-enabled SNAP EBT cards (nbc29.com) — Radford SNAP recipients are among the first in Virginia to receive new chip-enabled EBT cards designed to cut down on fraud and protect grocery money.
