A massive sinkhole opened up as a result of a water main break in a Fairfax residential neighborhood.
The sinkhole had been around 100 feet long and 25 feet wide along the street.

K9 Bites Tysons Corner Shoplifter In Chaotic Chase: Police

Three shoplifters are facing charges after trying to escape with more than $2,700 in stolen items from Tysons Corner Center. When police tried to stop them, one used pepper spray to help them flee. Police chased down two woman, and the other was caught when a K9 bit him.

Drunk Driver Crashes On Residential Street: Vienna Police

A resident had reported that a driver had crashed into his vehicle shortly before 10 p.m. in the 300 Block of Cabin Road SE. The driver remained on scene and failed all sobriety tests.

Former Vienna Lawyer Laundered $2M: Prosecutors

A former lawyer from Vienna has been sentenced to seven years in prison for over $2 million in money laundering. According to court documents, Raymond Juiwen Ho, 48, and co-conspirators duped victims into transferring money into accounts controlled by him and others through an email scheme.

Vienna Police are closer to identifying car vandals targeting residents over the months thanks to new surveillance footage. Police believe two suspects smashed a woman's car window at the Tiny Tots preschool before stealing her purse and shopping bags and using her bank card.

Madison Students Participate In Walk Outs To Demand Gun Control

Around 300 Madison High School students walked out of classes to demand action on gun control in the wake of 17 people killed in the Feb. 14 Parkland, Florida shooting. It was part of nationwide walkouts organized by Student Walkout Against Gun Violence, and students from numerous Fairfax County schools participated. The walk outs lasted 17 minutes in honor of the 17 Parkland shooting victims.
