A man raped a 16-year-old acquaintance Sunday morning at a home in Woodbridge, according to Prince William County Police. Alex Caballero, 45, was charged with rape and sodomy.

Girls Light Up Buddy Walk For Down Syndrome Awareness

The Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia's annual Buddy Walk got some extra encouragement this year from Alexandria's own cheerleaders. Bishop Ireton High School's varsity team was there to cheer those affected by Down syndrome and their supporters at the fundraiser on Oct. 14 in Manassas Park.

Highway Project Could Displace Homes, Businesses

As planning for the Richmond Highway Corridor Project continues, a new environmental assessment suggests businesses and homes could be displaced. The road will be widened from four to six lanes, get bike paths and sidewalks on both sides of the road, and have room for dedicated bus-only lanes.
